Hey

I've seen how successful you lot have been in the past at identifying cars/plates. Could you help with this one?

My boss was cycling in London last night and this driver opened their door whilst in the middle of the road. He hit the door whilst flying trying to stop. He'd like to report the driver but had shaky hands whilst taking the photo.

Full size here.

It looks like a galaxy to me but I can see audi rings? :o

Any help appreciated.

It's definitely a Galaxy going off the lower bumper. In fact I would say it is an Addison Lee Galaxy:

L*** S*B is all I can muster from the photo really. Maybe L*61 S*B.

So your friend cycles into an open door and wants to report the other person?? Sounds like he needs to look at where he is going and stop playing with his mobile whilst cycling!

He was filtering, the door was opened and he braked so hard he flipped over and hit the car door with his back.

The photo was taken afterwards - he was shaking due to shock.

In hindsight he wishes he had called the police but I thought I'd see if we could get the plate checked.

I assume the photo is taken after the indecent seeing as hitting an open door is a painful progress stopping affair. Not all doors are opened when a cyclist can stop or move out of the way safely like when people open doors into the road without looking.

But oh no, it's just a cyclist, he must be an utter **** for riding a bike. Forgive me.

So did the driver not stop then?

I would imagine it would have taken the cyclist some time to pick them self up off the dirt and get their phone/camera out

They stopped and blamed him although they were completely in the wrong. My boss thought he had the plate on the picture and all could be dealt with at a later time.

He's since got home, calmed down then realised the photo was blurry.

contact Addison lee with a partial plate??

He'd prefer to have a solid idea of what the plate was before contacting them.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far - none seem to be correct though unfortunately.
