Can you remember what your first bit of 'Tech' was?

1st one I remember was this it was a christmas present when I was younger
The Philips G7000

It came with a box full of games with no cases (my mum bought it 2nd hand from my Uncle when he upgraded to a ZX spectrum.

And I played amazing games on it such as crazy chase

You can't really say that a transistor radio was a bit of tech since they had been around in various forms for decades.
I would say the calculator in the early 70s was my first bit of tech because it took over from my slide rule.

Can't find an image of it but my first bit of proper tech was an lcd game back in the late 80s - IIRC you controlled a submarine at the bottom with hostile ships and aircraft above.

This bad boy...

Had a small hand held version with a dial for the bat at the bottom of a tiny grey and black lcd screen.

Me to!!

If you put the game selector half way between squash and football, you got a football game with one side having 3 "players"

I also liked how you could point the gun at a light bulb and you'd score a hit each time.

Either using my dads PC to play C&C on MSDOS - typing the install commands was tricky when I couldn't yet spell :p - or an original gamboy, I don't remember which was first

We have the Mark IV set up in the office at the moment

I think mine was probably some sort of game & watch type game (it would have been a cheap copy of one though).

The first real tech my parents bought me was an Atari ST. Those were the days. :)

Me too I think! :D

IIRC I dismantled it when it broke... I do remember that there was some way to cheat with it and just keep racking up the score.

i dismantled mine before it broke ;)
i seem to remember not putting the clear/coloured bits of plastic film back into it so it was all one colour afterwards
i also cut open my stretch armstrong to see what was inside,
i guess i was just that kind of kid :p

EDIT: just looked on the bay and theres quite a few Astro Wars up for grabs, might get me 1 one day :)

First tech was probably Commodore 16, or a Casio watch of some description. Then a Nintendo Handheld like Donkey Kong.

However, the first really awesome piece of tech I owned was a NES.

I honestly don't remember, my first computer though was an Atari 65XE, all my friends had Spectrum's, Amstrad's and C64's...

I was so upset when I got the Atari, but it was a fortune for my parents at the time and I soon go over the disappointment.

It had incredible games such as this!
