So I have 2 Sky+ HD STBs, is there a way I can use both of them. So take the viewing card out of the main one and put it in the 2nd so I can use the disk space on both?

No because you have to "activate" or "pair" the card to the box. Without pairing you are limited to the channels you can receive, and would imagine even the sky+ features may be limited.

So can I pair it with two boxes, considering that both will be authorised through an internet connection and a phone line?

Thanks. Also random question is there any way to disable pre-recorded on demand since with actual on-demand it is completely pointless.

Not as far as I know

And is there a max HDD size that you can put in the STB, so could I put in a 3TB or 4TB HDD?

2TB as far as I know (as that's the highest official box), and not sure if Sky have added GPT support yet for bigger drives

On a 2TB box only 500GB is reserved for system use, you get 1.5TB personal space.

I have a 500GB box which is 50\50, so half the space is sitting there doing absolutely nothing since everything on pre-recorded on demand and be downloaded through proper on demand.
