Canadian Geese-are they freindly and has anybody else had them hanging around near where they live?

The Lancaster Canal and River Lune wild birds have been decimated this year by Bird Flu. I walk down the canal every day to work and have been following a pair of swans who got seven cygnets ready to go solo, only for them to all die in a week before they left the parents. Two large ducks of mixed parentage died on the same stretch, and a few adult swans died on the river nearby. I hope the Muscovy Ducks on the canal further south survived. The pure mallards and the pintail ducks seem unaffected.

I've had the surround me as I was walking along the pavement and they were alright when I gave them something to eat but has anybody else seen them hanging around apart from ponds, rivers and canals?

Almost sounds like you're getting surrounded by Junkies looking money for a fix.

I don't have a problem with them. You just don't see them waliking along a street very often.
