Canadian Grand Prix 2011, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve - Race 7/19

5mm ride height and full crash cells vs 2 wheel's and a bit of leather ??? i'd know what id rather be doing

Its nothing to do with that.

You physically cannot steer an F1 car if the standing water is to deep. Its impossible to turn the car.

A bike will still work.

MotoGP bikes don't have 5mm ride heights.

Is that much lower than previous years when they raced perfectly well in the wet by going slower?

How about forcing them to raise the rideheight to 20mm or more in the high chances of rain?

They need to come up with something to stop this keep happening. Run a test session in heavy rain and come up with some ideas of minimum ride height in wet conditions.

I was most surprised how much kerb they take these days in the wet. They used to stay well away.

As well as the fact, you could just delay the start and allow change in set up. Why they don't do this makes no sense.

I fully agree. However, the FIA aren't going to rewrite the prac ferme rules this afternoon just for this race, so we have to work with what we have.

i like to disagree with that haven ridden bikes in the wet is like riding on very soft gravel, grip comes and go but the bike definitely isn't any where near as stable as the car.

Do you have ANY concept of how an F1 car works? You cant just raise the ride heigh 15mm and tell them to get on with it. Stop posting crap to try to make yourself feel special.
