Canadian Grand Prix 2013, Montréal - Race 7/19

I never understand the point of giving a backmarker a stop/go. They aren't racing for points so it's not even a punishment.

Button being informed that he will be getting blue flags as Hamilton is coming up to lap him.

Van Der Garde gets a 10 second stop-go penalty. Ignoring blue flags and causing a collision. Not had one of them for a while.

The teams seem controlled by computer simulations. Common sense tells you managing tyres is not the fastest way but it seems nobody wants to go with their gut and instead just sticks with the computer program.

Points aren't decided half way through, anything can happen.

Plus the back end teams are ordered based on finishing positions so its still a penalty.

If it wasn't why would we bother to have any more than 10 cars?
