For those of you, like me, that realised you didn't have any presents the week before Christmas and took advantage of Amazon's free trial of their Prime next day delivery, here is my official reminder to go and make sure it doesn't charge you the £49 for the rest of the year by unticking the option in 'your account'. Good luck and if this thread saves one person the fee it was worth it!

Yeah, i had this last year, they refunded me as soon as i cancelled the free trial.

lulz you gunna get bannnneed :p

Why? Surely a one off fee would be better, as you pay once and get premium delivery for life?

It's for 1 year.

He means one off fee for the year. He would prefer a monthly fee, i.e. save up all the things you want then buy a months worth and then get all those things.
This, kind of. Just split into several payments. Makes it less of a hit. They have your details. Just let you pay it off when you like and if you haven't paid it of in full take it at the end of the year.

Why? £50 on that or an extra 10 books. or whatever else I'm buying. where chucking a fee extra quid in on every purchase until you've paid it off means you don't notice.

You aren't aware of the new leniency? Amazon is so well known it makes it pathetic to not be allowed to talk about it. As long as you don't link directly to competitive products they sell it is ok. In the game section you are allowed to link to games that might be on offer at play or amazon etc etc.
