Cannot for the life of me decide what CPU to get

Going by articles released recently on the 11900k, why would you buy this over a 5800X?

11900K will be faster in gaming, and will be more reliable UEFI, memory compatibility wise compared to Ryzen. AVX512 is also nice to have. There are also less bugs with software, as everyone develops for Intel first.
Will it, how do you know? Are there benchmarks for games comparing AMD?
I’m not wanting AMD to be faster / slower and like there’s competition. I just couldnt find any benchmarks other than CPUZ and Cinebench which showed the 11900K being slower in comparison to AMD 8 core
Common sense and leaks. 10900K is very close to Ryzen 5000 in games already (actually wins in some titles) - Intel won't be releasing a CPU that's the same speed as the 10900k in games, that wouldn't be very wise. The new CPU has 10-20% higher IPC and will likely clock to similar levels as the 10900k, though we'll need to wait for more leaks to know the final clock speed. The caveat is that it only has 8 cores, though as the new consoles also have 8, this won't affect it's gaming performance in any way.
You can also apply the same logic to other PC components. For example, it was obvious that the Nvidia 3080 would be faster than the 2080/2080S, even before it launched. It was obvious that the Ryzen 5800 would be faster than the 3800, etc..
If you search 11900k using a search engine such as google, you'll also find countless leaks and info demonstrating the IPC increase and engineering sample clockspeeds.
