Im not usually one to lay hour after hour wide awake tossing and turning not being able to get comfortable been attempting a good two going on three hours now, my mind just won't shut off and I have no patience to stay still does anyone else have this issue or usually have this issue in which case would you have any advise for me.

(Not sure if the heat of my room and sunburn has a part to play in this one)

if you've stuff going through your mind grab a pen and a pad and write it all down.

If it's the heat, a fan, stick the sheets in the freezer for 15 mins and go for a walk, open a window as it's cool out.

The best thing I ever got was air conditioning. I need the room to be cold to sleep - my body seems to shut down faster when I'm colder.

Find some really boring podcast. Interesting enough to keep your attention, but boring enough to put you to sleep. Economics is usually good.

I find watching a movie or TV show that i've seen loads of times before helps, it distracts you from thinking about things over and over but as it's something you've seen before, you're not completely engaged by it and so just drift off.

A tactical fap usually clears the mind just before bed, however if that doesn't work the worst thing you can do is continue to lay there. Get up, go for a short jog, have another fap or just do something for 10 minutes then try again.

I get that every now and then. More often than not it means I have something on my mind but wouldn't say it was something I was consciously worrying about if that makes sense.

I find if I don't have an hour or so of doing nothing before bed I can't sleep straight away.

If you're too warm I'd really recommend a ceiling fan. We had one fitted 4 years ago and use it every night between May and September/October and is far nicer than a desk fan or similar as it's literally blowing straight on you.
