Cannot sleep.. Any advise?

A tactical fap usually clears the mind just before bed, however if that doesn't work the worst thing you can do is continue to lay there. Get up, go for a short jog, have another fap or just do something for 10 minutes then try again.

TACTICAL FAP

Lol lol :D

If it's the heat, I'd advise you to have a tepid shower, then gradually turn the hot water down until it's as cold as you are comfortable with - really helps to cool you down.
If you have a normal sleep pattern, but find your mind racing (even though you are tired) try a co-codamol nitecap (one tablet). I don't recommend this as a regular thing! It's ok for a once in a blue moon. You may want to consider other options first though ;)

That's my advice.

Ive got Sleep Apnoea or however its spelt.

I just fall asleep randomly and can put my head on a pillow and be gone within a minute... something to do with not going into a deep sleep enough.

Ill have to upload one of my sleep talk recordings from the Ipod... its scary to listen to, its like im dying... no lie, but also horrifically loud I mean you would think im an alien or something out of this world.

I reckon I could challenge the world record for snoring quite easily, people outside here me :D

So my advice is get Sleep Apnoea

Do you know what sleep apnea is? Because you did not just describe it.

Dr Jeffery Thompson's Delta Sleep System.

I know it's probably just a relaxing piece of music with a placebo effect but I've never heard the end of the 30min mp3. Whack it in with headphones even when the flat is loud and I'll be gone till morning!

Zopliclone.

no no no no no

Evil evil stuff, made my ex a total nightmare to be with, especially the time she drank a bottle of wine then took more sleeping pills than she ought to have.
Add to that the aggression, tremor, rebound insomnia and agitation, nightmares

not recommended by me; advised to use with great caution by her GP, not that it helped much.

harsh reminders...

People have mentioned sleep apnoea on this page and I'm wondering if I have it: I've snored for years, and while I'm hard of hearing and never hear it myself, it's gotten to a point where the snore's vibration within my face wakes me back up. It's infuriating but I do eventually get to sleep. Is that apnoea? It's not every night, maybe once a week over the last 2 years.

Medical advice if I answer the question. I don't know the answer though so I'm safe :)

I'd say go see a doctor about it. I know you're nearly deaf, so perhaps you don't know that nobody knows they snore - or at least I've never heard of anyone who can hear themselves snoring.

get F.lux,

its a great program that makes your monitor produce 'cooler' (temperature) colours at night, mimicking the light pattern from the day/night cycle. it worked wonders for me during the exam period last year
