As a 6D owner, this new body pretty much ticks all the boxes for me, vari-angle LCD, touchscreen, more AF points and Dual Pixel AF are all great additions

However for £2k I won't be upgrading, anyone else tempted?

What the hell is it with cameras costing double now?! £2000 - you having a laugh.

STILL no 4k, you having a laugh?!

Yeah can see the video thing being an issue but it isn't for me as I have zero intention of filming anything, the price is the biggest problem for me. £2k mean me adding £1400 after the sale of my 6D and that just doesn't feel like value for me personally.

Don't buy it on release then. Early adopters always get burnt on the price. Within 12 months it will probably settle to around £1700-£1800.

For info the MSRP for the 6D Mark I is £1799, though at the moment, it is retailing for around £1400.

Get used to prices going further North though, because they sure as hell aren't coming down any time soon.

If you aren't locked into the Canon system, the D750 looks better value to me..

The problem for me is Nikon's live view system, its utterly gash even to this day and they have done very little to address it.

Exactly what I'm going to do.
I was willing to shell out a grand but £1400 is too steep for me as this stage so I'll just wait to either pick up a used model in a year or so or wait until the price drops as you suggest.

Same every time a new camera comes out, people moan about the price.

The 6D on import now is £889 the 5D4 is £2319, the 6D2 will be £1500 in 4 or 5 months on import.

I had a D750, loved the sensor, hated everything else, the lenses, the body, the eye piece that falls off as it doesn't click into place, the egg timer that came up on the menu screen! an egg timer ffs !

Im happy with the 5D4 , i have a feeling the 6D2 sensor will be better than the 5D4.

The canon video of the 6D2 looked impressive, im sure this body will be a massive seller, even though no 4K.

Going to upgrade next year.

7D, 17-55 and 10-22 have done sterling service but the IQ of this sensor should be next level.

6DII, 24-70 II and 16-35 F4 IS should be a awesome combo.
