Canon D60

Arrived this morning, looks very good but it's gonna take me a while to get used to all the features on it.

One question i do have though is this camera seems to be running on Beta firmware (2.3.1 to be exact) and i was wondering if this is a good idea?

I can't find any info on that firmware, so couldn't tell you what functionality it may add.

I believe the last official firmare for the D60 was 1.0.4 (see here for info and how to change it).
 
I think i might have to stick it on a proper release, i'm finding the camera really unstable when i try and shoot multiple succession it just crashes out and i have to remove the battery to un-freeze it.

Also where would i be able to get a pc cable for it, local camera shop?
