I had an old IDE drive that I just used for storage and a Samsung SATA one with Windows etc installed. With the IDE drive connected I get a disk read error on boot and get told to ctrl+alt+del. If I disconnect my IDE drive and leave the SATA one in, the computer just loads as if no hard drive is connected. I wasn't too bothered about the IDE one dying, but I can't seem to get the PC to boot without it.
The SATA drive doesn't show up on the BIOS either. Can anyone explain this to me, and tell me how to fix it? Thanks
