Ok so this is a bit of a weird one... I had Windows 7 beta on my machine on a separate drive. It created 2 partitions at the time for some reason. Now Im ready to install Windows 7 for real i thought..... I know ill flatten the drive and intall onto that. However having flattened it I cant seem to format it. I have tried doing it in dos using Format E: and specifying NTFS.. have also tried it through windows and through partition magic. No method seems to work. Im left with an unformatable unformated disk!

Anyone have any experience on this?

Any help appreciated

Sounds like one of your versions of Windows has installed itself across multiple drives - it's a common problem when installing with multiple drives connected.

The simple solution might be to disconnect any drives you don't want 7 installed on then boot from the DVD and tell the installer to remove all the partitions on the target drive during the installation.
