Cant format Hard drive help

I want to reformat my old hard drive as my motherboard is still using drivers for it. I belive it is raid with my current hard drive anyway the option is greyed out can you help.

You can't format the c: drive because it's the one the system is booting from (this is not necessarily the same as where the OS is installed). You'll need to use the recovery tools on the OS disk to get the boot files onto the N: drive before you can format c:

You're not running RAID BTW.

It's set to boot from N: drive not C: also C: drive has Vista and N: has windows 7
 
The screenshot you've posted says that the boot files are on c:, that's why the drive cannot be formatted.

(I know it says that N is the boot partition but Microsoft have in their wisdom decided to call the partition where the OS is installed "boot" and the one where it boots from "system")
