I have an Xbox One controller. (The new version that supports bluetooth) I can't get it to pair with my computer. (I've only added a bluetooth dongle today)

Unfortunately all the guides and advice I have found online reference menus that are different to what I have in front of me in windows 10. For a start they all tell me to go to settings and under devices to "turn bluetooth on"

The Microsoft website says I should see this :

What I have in front of me is this

I can't get Windows to see the controller. If I try and pair it directly with the bluetooth tray icon it sees the controller but the pairing fails.

According to that message windows asked to pair with the controller but the controller made no attempt to acknowledge the pair attempt.

Don't you have to hold down the pair button on the controller to make the white light on the controller flash first?

I would assume the screenshot from the ms guide is from a later version of windows 10.

Sorry for delay in responding.

My phone (iphone 6S) doesn't see the controller.

It is model 1708. The current wireless controller with bluetooth support.
