Capital One Cup - Fourth Round 29/30 October & 6 November *** Spoilers ***

Well at least you can laugh at Spurs who were expected to win their game with ease when no one with a brain expected you guys to win today. Can always turn over to the Madrid game where they are currently trying to throw away a 3 goal lead, 3-2 at half time.

As far as I can tell, he's just horrible defensively, maybe as a footballer, his positioning is beyond abysmal. Some players really do suck for a bunch of games till fit but he's had quite a few now. You don't have a huge number of choices till Jan but I think Newcastle need to already be thinking about shipping him out even if on loan and bringing in a top CB. I think Colo, fit and with a top CB alongside him can become really good again, but one terrible CB will make the best CB alongside him look retarded. They play completely as a pair and everyone but Colo is ****, Taylor on his day can have a good game but even ignoring fitness those days are few and far between. Though I do find his "it wasn't me" acting to be pretty entertaining, particularly when he's handballed it.

When we're playing well, Mbiwa is a good player. When we're trying to put the pressure on a team he's great at nipping in to win the ball and bring it forward, and he's quick enough to deal with counter-attacks. It's when we're trying to be disciplined defensively that he struggles. Unfortunately, being Newcastle, we're more likely to need a disciplined defence.

I've been for a curry and missed the game. No idea what went but seems 90mins of spirit before the inevitable.

Expecting Pardew to play up to the crowd about the glorious failure, it's still a failure. **** off Pardew.

It has been a genuinely good performance. If Cisse was in any kind of goalscoring form we would have won it.

Tiote and Anita were great in midfield.

DM Pigeon'd the Spurs game.

and the Real game, went to 5-2, the Bale dived again I think, and Sevilla have gone straight up the other end and scored to make it 5-3, the dive wasn't given as a penalty. Funny game so far, Bale actually not being too bad at all, playing much wider with two assists and two goals, one a HUGE deflection from a freekick though.

finally showed a good replay, another terrible dive from Bale, trying to get his hat trick.

I think considering Lamela's lack of any confidence if you were going to let him have any penalties it wouldn't be 4th or 5th penalty, asking for pressure and a player to crumble under it.
