Capital One Cup - Fourth Round 30/31 October *** Spoilers ***

Really surprised at how deep Mata is playing tonight. I think he is a little more direct than Silva at City and potentially offers more to the team. Not sure why he is playing almost as a central midfielder :s

Well he's stated that he likes to play in that central role behind the forwards and just in front of the central midfield as it allows him to drift around a lot more. *shrugs* Seems to work.

Good first half, we've been by far the better side, surprisingly the two centre halves haven't struggled so far, mainly though because our midfield has been so dominant Chelsea haven't really managed to create anything (yet). Evra's place in the side looks safe though, Buttner looks really really average. Looks like we need to get rid of Nani in January, looks totally disinterested atm.

Mention for Anderson as well, best player on the pitch, great pass for Hernandez's goal (which was a quality finish). Fingers crossed it dont go all wrong second half....

I agree that he plays in the classic number 10 role but tonight he is much deeper

Wow just seen our bench :o Not worth sticking a single experienced player on there??

I know what you are saying - however when I saw the bench I also thought immediately that the 3 points we got on Sunday would mean squat IF we lost against Arsenal on Sat (maybe we will lose anyway, but at least with a fully rested 1st team squad - except Raf - they will be well rested)

I would much prefer the squad for the Capital One games to be made up of youngsters totally (depending on what the surrounding games are when the leg of the CO game is scheduled)

Cant see Nani going anywhere because of the wage situation (unless Utd accept a much lower transfer fee - which I cant see happening either)
