Capital One Cup - Third Round 25/26 September *** Spoilers ***

Oh and Suso was class when he came on and is going to be a big player for us in the future.
He's the only one I'm unsure about so far. He's obviously massively talented but he doesn't contribute enough when the opposition has the ball imo. Hopefully that'll come with age and experience but I don't think he's ready just yet. The others could all come in a play a part right now.

Odds on Hughes getting the boot are dropping. Used to like him when he was manager of Wales and Blackburn but got far too big for his boots while at City and he's been a joke ever since.

I'm not unsure about him - he's class. He does need to work harder when we're not in possession though and I'm sure that will be drilled into him.

It's very difficult for a player to burst into the first team at a very young age without either blistering pace or great physical size/strength to make-up for the other areas they're lacking (experience, decision making etc). He doesn't have that so isn't going to be able to make the same impact as somebody like Sterling has - it will be a more gradual progression with him.

Technically he's a step above all the other youngsters we have and I'm sure he'll make it.

Aston Villa for my home team Swindon.

A possible upset again but would have been nice to have got one of the big boys, which would have been deserved.

Reading away for Arsenal, got to be happy with that.

he took City from a bottom half team to just outside the top 4, then he did excellently at Fulham, and he stopped a completely crap side being relegated last year. Its a new team, its building from scratch, last year Warnock started with a far more settled team and had a MUCH easier run of games.

They've played City, Spurs, Chelsea and Swansea already, picked up a point away at Norwich and at home to Chelsea, that is one more point than any sane person would have predicted for those 5 games with a brand new team.

If QPR go down, thats one thing, having a pop at QPR with a terrible start with a completely new team is just daft. Also don't errm, Liverpool have the same number of points with a relatively equally difficult run of 5 games.... though are a significantly better side with a massively higher wage bill and a team with far far fewer new players? Hell QPR have one clean sheet, and against Chelsea, Liverpool don't have one yet.

Ben Foster's the luckiest keeper going. Twice he tried to punch/parry a shot, ****ed it up and somehow the ball stayed out. No idea how the shot from Yesil ended up bouncing over the bar.

Mulumbu's challenge looks worse every time you see it. Thanks to the FA's unique rules, nothing can be done because the ref saw it and deemed that a talking to was sufficient punishment.
Joking aside, would we allow him to play for his school football team?

I can't remember for certain but I believe the club puts some sort of restrictions/limits to how many games they can play.

Could be one of those "you don't win anything with kids" seasons except you don't beat relegation with kids..... (the pundit seems to be building up to it)

Sack Brad Jones for that drop!
Didn't help getting smacked in the face

Assaidi looks brilliant, Suso and Sahin really offer something to our game. Still glad to see Pacheco and Coates getting more game. Wisdom is strong and should also be in contention for defence.

Pogrebnyak looked ready to take his shirt off when he scored the third which left me thinking, what would happen if he wore two identical shirts and took one of them off after scoring? Would he still get booked?
