Nice seeing Arsenal hand out another 6 goal spanking, relieved that Giroud has finally scored for Arsenal, was beginning to think he was becoming our next big flop:p.

Scoring plenty of goals so far which is great to see, sure its against weaker teams but 6 goals against Southampton a few weeks back and another 6 goal haul against Coventry is nothing to be sniffed at.

Any other Arsenal fans thinking RVP who??, im not missing RVP that much anymore. Proves that Arsenal after losing some of our biggest players in the past 2 seasons are still competitive.

I was thinking RVWHO ever since he released THAT statement. We're a much better team without him. Good riddance.

After the last few games United fans might be left thinking that as well :p

Why?? has he not been scoring goals for you guys lately??.

Tbh i havent been round much as ive just come back from a few weeks in Australia visiting my brother out there. The only game i caught over there was the 6-1 spanking Arsenal gave Southampton but that was highlights rather than the full game, thats about all the footie i caught over there and they do play live games of the EPL out there but they are played at stupid o clock ie 3-4am in the morning...too busy jetskiing and being out in the ocean to pay much attention to footie:p

Personally i think the same too, we seem a much balanced team without him and our defence so far has been immense even though DM will argue otherwise. Should have beaten City at the weekend though and we have a tough game coming up this weekend against Chelsea but with no Droggy the diver around, im hoping we give Chelsea a nice little spanking:p.

Hopefully with that goal, Giroud will now have some confidence to smash some goals this weekend.

lol

tbh my ego is pleased I was right in what I was saying about RVP last season, great goal scorer but outside of that has a massive tendency to be anonymous and or be rubbish, take the game at Chelsea last season he scored a hat trick in that game (two of which was given to him on a plate) but he actually was pretty rubbish for the majority of the game. Having seen RVP a lot closer to home now I'm in no doubt that Rooney is the better of the two outside of the box, RVP is definitely the better finisher though, together they should make a great partnership.....

They've replaced Drogba with Ivanovic and Hazard when it comes to the diving.:p

I agree, we should have spanked Citeh if only Gervinho didn't leave his shooting boots in London. Also I think we will spank Chelsea handsomely, their defence is carp and if Theo starts we'll cause them lots of problems.

Our defense has been immense, the Bould effect in full show. Per, the BFG, has been awesome!

He's been completely awol. He's a great finisher there's no doubt. But in games which we're not controlling he might as well not be there, unlike Rooney who just offers much more in those sort of games, he can drop deep and drag the team back into it. RvP just seems to wander around up front doing nothing (and we already have Hernandez who can do that!)

Really?? wow and here i was thinking he was going to score goals left, right and centre for you lot. Wont lie but him not being such a goal scoring threat for you guys does please me a lot:p

He's still capable of scoring goals out of nothing though so dont get too giddy, he had no right to score the goal he did against Fulham and 2 of his goals against Southampton were pure class, just pretty been pretty naff apart from that :( :p

where's the weekend thread? (don't say 'why don't you do one' the people who do them do a fine job, far better than i could do)

i want to get all excited about the utd v spurs game and am setting myself up for a massive let down early.

So which of these entirely foreseeable events is going to happen on Saturday?....

1 Defoe scores from halfway line but ref is busy giving thumbs up to FA observer (aka Lord Ferg) and doesn’t see it - play continues with throw out from De Gayer.
2 Friedel makes a diving save but Carrick trips over his body and crashes to the Earth like the Hindenburg – penalty to United!
3 Paul Scholes breaks Gareth Bale’s ankle with trademark two footed lunge – referee waves play on as United are attacking then retrospectively gives Bale a straight red for diving as he is being loaded into ambulance.
4 Nani dives in the box and picks up ball expecting usual soft penalty, but he’s too quick and the ref hasn’t had a chance to blow his whistle! Friedel places ball for free kick for handball offence but Nani races in from the wing to slot home before it is taken. 1-0 United.
5 Rooney shoots but defender standing on the line clears. Ref awards goal as Spurs had the cheek to take the lead earlier in the game.

Place your bets.

From another forum.....it could be all 5!

I think the people on this page thinking Chelsea are going to get spanked by Arsenal could be in for a rude awakening, they are probably one of the most underrated teams in the league right now. The knives seem to be out for them this season yet they are still top of the league and haven't even conceded a goal away from home yet (in fact no team has conceded fewer goals in total, in spite of their alleged 'carp' defence).
