Capital One Cup - Third Round ** Spoilers ** [23/24 September 2014]

Not a lot to say about last night. Lots of shots and not many goals. Schurrle was impressive and very unlucky not to score. Good performances from both Filipe Luis and Zouma, hope we get to see more of them.

4th round draw:

Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton
Stoke City v Southampton
Bournemouth v West Bromwich Albion
Shrewsbury Town v Chelsea
Liverpool v Swansea City
MK Dons v Sheffield United
Manchester City v Newcastle United
Fulham v Derby County

To be played week commencing 27 October

Davies was so lazy for the goal spurs conceded. He watched an unmarked runner into the box jog past him and did nothing. I hope we haven't bought another duff leftback.

Enjoyed the City game last night.

Thought Weds played very well in the first half without causing us too much to worry about. They were tight defensively though and put on a lot of pressure all over the park. This may however have been their undoing, as City lifted their game a little in the second half and holes started showing in all areas as they couldn't keep to the same high pressure.

Yaya seems like a shadow of the player we've had the last few years. Play just seems to pass him by at times like his mind is just not in it. Then he will click back into gear. It's almost like he's developed ADD!

Milner had another great game. Was popping up in all sorts of space and driving forward with the ball.

Mangala looked less convincing than he did against Chelsea. He's a great tackler, that much is sure. I worry about passing though and there may be the odd misplaced one that puts us in trouble this year.

Honourary mention for Lamps, wish I'd been lucky enough to see more of him in his prime. Very intelligent footballer always in the right place at the right time. Hoping he gets a decent amount of game time.

Glad Pozo got some game time too. He made a few mistakes and looks a bit lightweight, but I expect big things from him in the next two seasons. Can't wait for Fofana to break into the rotation as well, as he is going to be an absolute beast if he carries on the way he's going.

Final note, the Weds fans were great! Brought a lot and didn't stop singing the whole game.
