Capital One Cup - Third Round ** Spoilers ** [23/24 September 2014]

Well... Wednesday have at least kept the score in single figures  :o.

Wednesday weren't bad, per say, first half played very well from a defensive point of view; restricted City to a few chances, defended well, stayed tight and compact. Second half, a absolutely crazy and awful ~15 minutes~ put the game beyond any doubt. Manchester City looked very pedestrian (professional) and did basically exactly what they needed to do in the second half. Actually quite scary.

Toure is very over rated, Milner is under rated.

He is. I think he suits the Premier League, but there are far superior midfielders.

7 goals isn't a bad return for 12 shots on target either.

No, it was interesting as the first half was very even (City had better chances) and I felt Wednesday were looking good.

Second half however total change, Manchester City were clinical, no other word to describe them, fantastic from their point of view, very professional and clinical. Scary for other teams still in the competition.

sweet We have been drawn at home to Brighton & Hove Albion in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup. A date for the tie will be confirmed in due course

Looks like the Swans are going to have to beat all their influential ex-managers this time!

Reasonably optimistic, actually. It's probably a good time to be playing Liverpool: leaky defence, blunted attack, "it's definitely not a low-priority tinpot cup" and all that.

Probably still worth Garry scheduling some penalty training, mind. Got to respect the other team, after all :p

EDIT: Ooh, CL games against Real the week before and after, too :)
