Did you think that after Cap 1, Iron Man and first Thor though? I think your opinion is skewed as you’ve had so many films to get to that point.

A soft reboot with the young avengers carrying on the universe is likely still going to be great.

exactly - nobody cared about iron man or even thor before the movies. Frankly they were pretty low tier marvel properties. Even captain america was not particularly popular.

Apparently she is going to come and defeat Thanos? That's odd, Thor is far far far stronger than Danvers in the comics. It doesn't make much sense that she'd be able to beat a souped up version of a character that already decimated Thor like he was nothing.

It doesn't matter what happens in the comics. For a start, there are multiple series, with characters' power changing from one iteration to the next. Secondly, the MCU has been doing things its own way anyway.

Honestly from the way this movie is looking, Marvel will make her a Mary Sue and she will take him solo in the end.
