Car keyed across 5 panels :(

The fact it has happened to every car he's owned and all previously on his driveway, I think he's definitely not in someone's good books for some reason.

It happens to every one of my cars and then one of my neighbours came out when I was washing my car during a drought and threatened to report me for flaunting the hose pipe ban (I wasn't). He said something like 'what comes around goes around' and when questioned further he accused me of reporting/objecting to his extension - I had no idea what he was talking about but yeah, people hold grudges even if they're totally unfounded.

People are dumb, especially in my area.

You could vinyl wrap the car, then it will be much harder to scratch. Plus you can just patch up any damaged bits :)

What kind of logic is that? OP can't have any nice car ever again because of a retard on his estate?

The logic is quite simple. If all your previous cars were keyed, it stands to reason that the next one would be. Buying a nice new car then being surprised that it gets keyed is the illogical part of this.

Man that sucks. They must be some desperate jealous cowardly scumbag who can barely afford a pair of Reebok classics let alone a car.

Hope you get it sorted without much trouble.

it's pretty sound logic tbh.

move house then buy nice car.

or get cctv or a dashcam.

anything but buy a car and let it happen again with no plan in place.

I think you missed the point a bit. OP shouldn't have to not drive a car he wants to drive because someone else is an ass. Sounds like his previous cars were key'd so maybe it makes no difference anyway :p

That really sucks OP. As mentioned above, some CCTV would be a good shout.

Gutted for you OP. :( Had my car keyed a few years ago for absolutely no reason. These scum bags should get their faces keyed.

This is one of the main reasons why I won't get a nice car any time soon, until I move to a nice area.

Hey guys, spoke to Smart insurance folks and someone will be coming on Thursday to do the body panels. They wont cover the bonnet so I will need to figure out how I get that sorted.

Will definitely look into a CCTV looking out front. My other cars were keyed when I was 18-22 in uni and we live in an area (zone 5 burbs in the Essex part of London, hardly the "endz" full of roadman) either with very young families or old people. We have good relations with our neighbors so I have no idea who could be doing this. I work in Leicester now and the car has its own private garage thing underground my flat and I walk to work. But yes looks like CCTV is the answer going forwards.
