Car mis-sold with FSH

No, if they've still got it and they want to give it back to you then that's their choice. Only if it's unavailable then can you push for it in cash.

But I am no longer the current keeper, and would have to pay money to insure it and tax it again.

So that car would have an extra owner and I would be out of pocket for something that is not my fault.

When did you buy this car? They sold this car with an MOT not done in nearly a year.

How was that missed by them, and you.

Also, on motability, the servicing is covered by the scheme, done by BMW as well, so its very lazy not to have done it on the leaser's part.

I then contacted the dealer who got the motorbilty company to send them the service records for the car.

The service record received matches the car info. The dealer told me the highlighted yellow is the oil service.

I googled what standard scope is and it seems this is a charge to have work entered into BMW's online history.

The dealer has now requested more information from the motorbilty company.

The reason for this post is I currently have no record of an oil service ever being done, what are my options here?

Run a mile. If a dealer is lying to you, because that is exactly what that is, can't trust them. You should make it a point why they tried to con you into thinking a standard scope is an oil service.

That would be an unfortunate result of getting this resolved. I don't think you could expect much in compensation for that.

Btw, if you can't find any proof of the service being carried out, I would genuinely reject the car and find another one. There are a plethora of 330e's out there and you've paid top dollar for one with absolutely no history of servicing for 3 years which will significantly affect the value.

As a side note, I would also steer clear of ex motability cars - I've lost track of the number of these cars which I've seen which are utterly trashed and neglected by their owners (I think people eligible for motability cars pay comparitively very little for them and some have been known to not take the best car of them...)

This.

It all looks very dodgy to me and the dealer is unable to produce any service history. That screenshot doesn't tell us anything.

Another query, I part exchanged a car when buying, I dont want the car back (nothing wrong with it, just did not get on with it)

Am i within my rights to ask for the monetary value of the car as advertised when I bought it?

If they can't come up with the service history, I'd forget your old car and I'd probably just ask the dealer to try and source you a very similar specced car. This would surely incentivise them as they get to keep your money and still make a sale, but you also end up with a similar car?

Give them a couple of weeks to do this and review then?

Also, it seems weird that whoever did the brake fluid service didn't realise it hasn't had anything done and do the oil service also. Tbf, i think they read the key from the car which if someone has reset the service light, will probably indicate that it doesn't need an oil service even though it's never actually been done

[ can you look at the oil to appraise last oil service - or, there is no dipstick;
also, if you happen to know a motor-dealer can they access auction site data to know conditions under which a car was sold
]

you don't think you could taste the difference between old and new engine oil (more genZ issues - ev's will fix that )

I would be returning that car. If it has missed it's services and these jokers are not a BMW dealership then surely BMW will reject any warranty as it's not been serviced to the expected standards?
