Car Selling Cliches

I'm surprised people still use things such as 'first will see will buy' and 'one lady owner' in the description when selling a motor! What do you think? you steer clear of adverts with such comments or look for a car with one 'careful' lady owner so you can have an excuse to change that clutch? LOL!

What's your favourite cliche? :cool:

"First veiwer will buy" or variants thereof. In 9/10 cases, the first viewer would have to be Ray Charles Jnr. to buy the vehicle.

I genuinely avoid 'one lady owner' or 'elder owner' as I find it does generally mean the clutch or gearbox are screwed. The wheels are scuffed to hell and the tracking is out. The doors are full of dings.

Clean underneath.

Never wanted for anything, except new tyres and an oil change.

Oil changed every 2000 miles, only run on V Power.

Likewise, but seldom backed up with receipts or evidence sadly.

Actually if people could keep their old oil cans and Shell Station Lego models that would be a big help.

Another classic is 'completely standard'/'everything works', followed by a list of all the mods fitted or minor things that don't work.
