Car vandalised

Scuzi, are you still at P Square? If so, it's rather exclusive there, so can't imagine how scum would deliberately have been wondering that way.

I've also had my black Celica keyed a couple of months ago. There's a garage near towards Winnall that I keep meaning to drop by to get a quote although I have no idea on their reputation or quality@ http://www.bodycraft.org.uk/

Otherwise, a Chipsaway guy quoted me £200 + VAT for restoring the 50cm key scratch and a few small scuffs repaired.

Thats just horrible, some people need their heads looking at with a baseball bat, if they think doing this is 'fun' and 'recreational' or if they are 'bored'., they will soon change the way they look at things, if they could still see that is lol.

Really gutted for you. Damaging someone else's property like that is a hateful cowardly thing to do - I'd be furious beyond words.

I'm slightly further out of town now. You're the second person to recommend that body shop so I'll have to get a quote from them. :)

someones trying to tell you that your a *******
I don't think that's the case at all unless owning the car is a sole reason for being a bell end?

I'm not recommending it; it's the only decent looking one I have found using Google in Winchester. I do intend on stopping by this week to get a quote and feel for them.

I suppose you have to try and look on the bright side, at least they went to the effort of actually drawing something when deciding to trash your car, not just your bog standard key down the side of the car as they walk past.

I had my skoda octavia VrS keyed during a St Mirren vs Morton match, that was the last time i put a sticker of any kind in my car for the team I supported, it can be as daft as that, something you have left on display.

Not the only post in this thread that you have made thats been nonsence.

How is polishing metal going to make it:

A) Black again (car looks black from photo?)
B) The same height as the surrounding paint?

Yes wonderful things can be achieved with 2000 grit/trizac and a mop, but not freaking miracles

The good news is as its black (?) blending the front wings shouldnt be necessary.

A rule of thumb... If your fingernail gets 'caught' as you rub it accross the scratch it will need paint (be that touch up, SMART, or respray)
Looking at the pic I would say thats a bonnet respray.

:(

Look, i've had worse removed, I didnt dream it, i'm not making it up why would I even post if it wasnt true!? I've had a down to the metal chip removed that was bare metal exposed and about the size of a five pence coin in Honda Super Sonic Blue paint, a company called Dents INC did it and when I asked him how he did it, he said abrasive G3 polish and it was like it was never there. DAMN

Maybe he did a localised paint repair im just guessing, but you cant polish out whats not there any more, and if that scratch is down to the metal, well thats that isnt it.

Maybe he did but when I asked him that is what he said, it was £80 with a number of door dings and dents removed too, I remember it perfectly as I got a telling off for having it done in the works car park and he made a fair bit of noise!

I honestly dont know, but that finger nail rule of thumb someone else mentioned is what iv always gone by, especially when its down to the metal.

i wasnt suggesting you are one and tbh i dont even know what car it is.

it just seems like someone has gone to a lot of trouble and i wouldnt imagine it beeing a random act, annoyed any neighbours etc recently?

Im guessing in that it's a bmw being reason enough for it to be keyed?

Either way id get it resprayed and sorted, then sell it on, the car is clearly jinxed.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll have to enjoy my big **** until Tuesday as I'm away until then. Out of interest, can anyone recommend a body shop in or around Winchester or Southampton?

BTW I had no idea I was so hated on here. I've had three emails telling me I deserved it. Real nice, huh?

I wouldn't take much notice of it if I were you, can't really have over 17k of posts without disagreeing with someone now and then.

Feel sorry for you mate I really do, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

What ****ing tossers. Same goes for the idiots on here who emailed him saying he deserved it (seriously, who takes the time out of their day to do that?) and the ones who implied that he deserved it.

I was the most angry i think i've ever been when someone threw an egg at my car and left a bunch of small chips in the paintwork, i can't imagine how annoyed you must be.

My guess? Someone was drunk with their mate, walked past, saw a fancy BMW and thought it'd be so wikkid m8 to draw a **** on the bonnet because of the common stereotype that BMW drivers are cocks.

The type of person that would have done this did it because they know that they will never have a car as nice as that. If it's any consolation Scuzi, the person who did it will be driving around in an F reg Fiesta, living on some scummy council estate - so whereas you will be inconvenienced for a few hours to repair the car, they'll always have a **** car and a **** life.

Some **** did similar to my car last winter. Scratched from the rear tail light right upto the front head light and wrote "Fxxk Off" on the rear panel. I was like a raging bull. Had to get the whole drivers side sprayed £200. But tbh the guy didnt do the best of jobs on it
