Not the only post in this thread that you have made thats been nonsence.
How is polishing metal going to make it:
A) Black again (car looks black from photo?)
B) The same height as the surrounding paint?
Yes wonderful things can be achieved with 2000 grit/trizac and a mop, but not freaking miracles
The good news is as its black (?) blending the front wings shouldnt be necessary.
A rule of thumb... If your fingernail gets 'caught' as you rub it accross the scratch it will need paint (be that touch up, SMART, or respray)
Looking at the pic I would say thats a bonnet respray.
?? The black country is in the midlands.
Dude... Sorry to see more vandalism to another members car, it was only a few days ago we were talking about vandalism on another members car and how people couldn't care less about somebody else’s property.

I wouldn't even mention it to them. Find a couple of good local garages and get a quote from them to respray the bonnet.

Ive been on here years as well but can't say I remember. I've always been a regular reader but yea I guess people remember stuff and hold a grudge, for me life is too short.
Balls. That's a pretty horrible thing to do to someone's car. It does look personal though, you could have cut up the wrong person or had a case of mistaken identity..

It's either an opportunist or mistaken identity. I can't think of anything else.
