Car Wars

ah well to some people unless you go to sleep with your keys up your poo-hole each night and your car wheels locked up under your bed , it will be your fault for not taking precautions.

No cause that's just silly, sensible practical precautions should be taken, its each owners call at the end of the day but they will be the first to shout some ******* has stolen my car.....

Some people keep walking into the wall and others decided to use the door, its your call, i prefer the door tbh....

no but there is a big difference, its not like the evo was unlocked with keys in and engine running big flashing neons saying 'take me'. The keys were in his house, the keys were stolen and thus the car was. How can that be the guys fault, i see what your saying but people find it too easy to blame the victim than the criminal:/

proberly , since somone knew the car was there and that the keys were on his shelf next to the door. proberly watched him put them there. if he didnt, they would just wait until he stepped outside the front door and smacked him over the head to get them...........

Problem is you get different levels of criminals each prepared to use different levels of violence, the people who took his keys are probably joy riders or opportunist thieves since the car was found in one bit and not split for parts or exported.

As you take further measures to protect your vehicle or keys, you get an ever decreasing amount of people willing to take the chances or use that increased level of violence to get that vehicle.

So we can conclude a reduced number of people willing to take the additional steps to take your vehicle = less chance of said vehicle being taken but the nicer your car the higher the chance of violant crime or assault trying to get the vehicle.

may be true but there is actually a shockingly high number of cases where people are being assaulted and houses broken into for car keys, tbh id rather them just take the car and ill claim my insurance.

My last idea of fun is having a masked man at the end of my bed 3:00am holding a knife asking for keys, i would without a doubt hand them over, this sort of crime is on the rise since they can't take modern cars now without its keys, however since its a relatevly new way of taking a car overdramatization is rife in the media and i bet its not as common as you would think.

i was pleased to see that the police do actually do more than just sit at bottom of hills with speed guns:)
it doese make me sick thinking about the amount of car crime tho it really does.
altho a pain in the arse i would find it quite flattering to find someone in my bedroom waking me up cos they want the keys to my mini so badly, lol

I would also hand over the keys to my car if someone had broken into my house and was demanding the car keys. Even saying that, depends what he tthreatened me with and how big the person was lol.

Thier is also car jacking too. Not sure how often that happends, but new cars have automatic locking doors and stuff so thats kinda cutting down the possibilities of car jacking.

However, there isnt much we can do about people just breaking into your house and getting off with your keys. Its stupid that we have to do all these precautions and stuff, always thinking to not leave things on show in our cars and hiding our keys away etc. Its crazy.

dont hear many storys of car jacking, but i was behind my mate in his astra gsi (imaculate standard looking with LET mmmm:)) waiting at a junction and i saw a guy about 20 walk away from his girlfreind and walk verry quickly towards my mates car and his girl was screaming NOO!! at him then my mate pulled out, totally oblivious. i ahve no doupt at all he had the intention of helping himself to his car, thankfully he puilled out in time and he had toad alarm with anti jarjack anyway.
the price for having a nice car:(
still flattering tho haha

Can't find it either, next Wednesday is Crimewatch, and the one after is Match Of The Day, so maybe the week after..

What I found hillarious is when the police were looking for the stolen 4x4 in the Garage.

Owner: Oi! What you doing in there?!
Police: Theres a stolen car in your garage mate.
Owner: Your joking!

LOL. :D
