Car Wars

my keys are kept on my bedside table

mind you if a pair of youthes broke into the house and came into my room at night id probably hand the keys over.

not worth losing your life over your car. kids nowadays can (and have) pull out anything.

It answered one old question though, about which is faster, the Evo or the Impreza....

Don't think there was much question about MRs and WRXs though ;)

Perhaps. But then again the guy with the Evo doesn't care about other people so will go on opposite side of roads and stuff whereas the copper will be taking a more cautious approach.

You would have to hand em over, otherwise you'ld get done if you tried to stop em.

Anyone else reckon that the traffic cops should have bull-bars fitted to their vehichles so they can performance the pit manouvers like they do over in the states?

LOL, well my brother gets post delivered here because he is paranoid his neighbours would pinch it while he is not there and that is in Didsbury which is not even that bad. :p

Great city, just a bit lary. :)

Lol you're right, Didsbury is actually quite nice - shouldn't be any trouble there!

Pit manouvers are done over here, just not often is there the opportunity to do it safely. TPAC is safer.

I was joking - as pointed above, it was clear that a bog-standard WRX would be thrashed by an MR300 under most circumstances.

I agree over the sentences...what a joke! To think they wonder why there are so many serial offenders, because the sentences offer no form of deterrant whatsoever!

It makes my blood boil.

Yeah I watched it last night.

Well we are targeting mr xx ooo look he has 10 pages of crime listed against him 12 per page. WTF is he doing out on the streets still nicking cars - lack of evidence.

FFS makes me angry - why work your bottom off to aspire to a nice motor and then either not bother due to worry or not bother due to extortianet insurance costs.

Total scum for taking that FQ 300, but its the owners fault for leaving the keys so close to the door, i think i recognise the area as well looks like Northwich / Middlewich area.

i love this 'its the owners fault for xxx' i am sorry,I disagree, its not his fault , its the thieving scum that took its fault.
its like this attitude of someones car got broken into because they left a bag on the seat and the glovebox closed, being there fault.
its a sad world we live in where we have to take precautions to prevent thieving scum to steal our hard earned possesions, then it happens and people say ......... Ah well its your fault for blah blah blah...........

Don't cry pumpkin, yes its a sad world we live in (FACT), someone can take your keys from near your front door and then steal your car, however that guy actually stated he knew this sort of thing was going on and he still left his keys by the door.

If you don't adapt your life style to the threats around then your going to get burnt, the owner did know of the threat and he didn't react to it so it's partially his fault........

Anyone who knows of a threat that could effect them and doesn't react appropriately is either an idiot or just doesn't care.

Yeah whilst this is true about taking precautions, the policeman who said well now they just kick your front door in terrorise you and your family till you give them the keys to said "nice car". So what do we do have armed guards, steel doors, bars on windows etc..

I think its about time we got some harsher laws here - chop off some body parts for each offence maybe :O 10 cars = hard to hold a screwdriver I bet!!

I dont think its the owners fault that they left the keys near the door. Its thier house. Should'nt they be able to leave thier keys where ever they want in the house... Common sense says not to put them in a place that they can be got, but its just unlucky really.

I actually know of someone who did the same thing. He got the keys for a brand spanking new X-Type Jag thru the letter box of a house. He then sold the car and keys for £100. Total pointless.

Hes got my Sammy D600 now. His girlfriend, a so called 'good friend' of my girlfriends, robbed off with my fone from my GF's house and gave it to the guy. Hes done a disappearing act now. Wait till I get my hands on him, hopefully before my sister does :p.

I hope he gets caught very soon before he can rob off someone else. I hate people like that.

I'l have to see the show next week, missed it last time. I hope its on next week.

boooo, wish i had watched it, i do enjoy progs about manc!
My house featured on an episode of Shameless which was interesting!

Years back I remember my grandparents telling me about a time when everyone used to go out and not bother lockup up, you would be foolish doing that now, fast forward to modern times its foolish to leave your car unlocked, its foolish to leave your keys in the car and its also foolish to leave your keys in a easy to get to place.

"I didn't know the car was stolen, I just found the keys left in the car and took it" - AHAHAHA.

"This here is a Mitsibushi Evo 8, FQ. The second part stands for quick." :p

Boy would I love to live in Manchester, especially with a 60% higher crime rate than every other city! :p

I'm really glad I didn't watch this....
