Car Wars

Holy thread revival - part 3 is on BBC1 tonight at 9pm for those of you that are interested.

Blurb:

Joyriders

Manchester's elite tactical vehicle crime unit goes after underage drivers in stolen cars. Many of the cars stolen in Manchester are taken by youngsters, often as young as 12. This leaves the cops with a dilemma - should they chase youngsters behind the wheel?

PC Snook has to decide how to stop a teenager who has stolen a two-tonne van. PCs Torkington and Cross stop a 16-year-old driving a car his mum bought for him, and PC Booth gets into a chase with a stolen Fiesta. Contains strong language.

Looked like he'd done it before, and probably not the only one. Looked like one of the bollards was missing, perfect escape route for a stolen car.

What I'm not liking is how quick they are to judge a young person in a fast car. I only look 19-20 (look young for my age), and to be quite honest, would take offence if an officer pulled me over and didnt believe me when I say its my car, that i've paid for.

Remember the areas they're patrolling though...

But how would you feel if a 19-20 year old stole your car but no officer pulled it because last time he did he had an arsey 20 year old to deal with..

Thats not my point, my point was they were far too quick to judge (speaking mainly about the kid in the 3-series). I have no problem with being pulled over (not that I ever have been), but i'd like a bit more respect, and a little more trust than just a simple, "no way you have ever owned that much money".

These people need locking up !!!
Good, honest people trying to earn a decent living getting targeted by idiots.

A simple quick check is all it would take to show you were the owner.

I couldn't stop laughing when the police officer walked into that room full of cannabis plants, that was like walking into a jungle. :D

I feel sorry for all the **** they have to put up with, especially those morons who said that the guy the police arrested was with them at the time. Well and truely shocking.

Also at 23:35 on Channel 5 Wildest Police Video's is on - well worth the watch.

Yeh i thought something was gonna kick off on that estate. So he annoys the cops at the scene, assaults a coper and gets what 300 hours communty service was it? 6 months in the jail would have been better and would put people off starting on the police. ;)
