Carabao Cup QF Football Thread ** spoilers ** [18th - 19th December 2024]

Had a few balls from Fernandes where the other players just need to keep going. Players waiting until the ball is hit to make the run when they needed to be making the run as soon as he gets the ball.
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking when Højlund wasn’t quite there. He needs to really develop that. Though as a striker, surely it would sort of be a bit ‘well, duh’… and a given to do that.

controlling the game more than we did v city. I can see a goal or two in second half from us. Amorim seesm to get the players playing more aggressive second half, especially, whenit comes to shooting and trying for goals.

I think the players should shoot more.

Think it entirely depends on who you are playing with. There is no point doing that when your wingers and wide players never pick you out and hes had quite a bit of time with United not being considered. In that situation you are better served not breaking your neck to get on the end of crosses that never come. I'm sure that will change under Amorim.

Good half in general. Had quite a few decent-ish chances. Some more composed finishing would probably have seen a goal. So nice to see football where you see patterns of play. Cut backs. Overlaps.
