Carabao Cup QF Football Thread ** spoilers ** [18th - 19th December 2024]

Yeah, guy loves a tackle. Gives the opposition no time on the ball. Haven't had someone like that for a long time.
He's so quick across the ground over a 10-20yd range. Makes McTominay look like walking football. He's becoming key to what we will achieve with this team.

Hojlund having a much better game then we are used to seeing. Better holdup, more touches and showing some power. Final ball is letting us down badly and yet again Dalot offer nothing on the left.

I think we've been the slightly better team, more organised, but poor in the final third and that's playing into Spurs' hands. We look a bit wobbly defensively - not a huge surprise given Yoro is new and Lindelof hardly plays.

Had a few balls from Fernandes where the other players just need to keep going. Players waiting until the ball is hit to make the run when they needed to be making the run as soon as he gets the ball.

Dead balls are one of those things I will never understand. You would expect top players to almost be able to put it on a spot every time and yet it seems like most of them are a complete crap shoot. Well, apart from that sneaky Arsenal.

Good signs though, if we recruit well then there's finally some progress being made as opposed to continuing to get worse under ETH, although he didn't get much time with the new signings he did have to go in the end.
