Morton's made our midfield look far more solid. Does the simple stuff very well and looks very composed under pressure.

Norwich have played Liverpool, Man City, Leicester, Arsenal, Watford and Liverpool again. Think people are jumping the gun a little bit with the criticism, let's see how they do with a fair run of fixtures.
Morton has looked decent though its been hard to judge him to the fullest given the situation when he came on, would like to see him from the start to get a better idea. Gordon looks like he needs more time in the oven (not surprising given his age), as does Bradley.

He came in to a midfield that had no control in the first half and gave us exactly that in the second half. Tsimikas and Taki were the stand out players for me but I thought Morton was outstanding.
A somewhat scratchy and disjointed performance but to be expected given the wholesale changes and balance of that starting midfield. Origi and Minamino both looked really sharp though and Morton impressed when he came on although any natural sitting midfielder would have improved on that starting midfield.
He needs to get back up to speed after a disrupted start to the season. A 20 minute run out will do him good going into a busy week next week.
My point was that within a couple of minutes of him coming on we were 2-0 up and the match was over. Dont get me wrong its not like I am slagging him off or saying he was no good, I think he was decent (I wouldnt go so far as to say he was outstanding because there isnt much higher you can go than outstanding so I'd feel I was being too hyperbolic by saying he was outstanding) , I was just caveating it by saying I would like to see him from the start when the teams are level.

Felt like a training game after 15/20 minutes, defence switched off a few times but given it was a new back 5 that's to be expected. Gomez was outstanding I thought, as was the keeper. Mini-mo has a lovely knack of scoring. Ox was a major disappointment, needs to be grabbing these games by the scruff of the neck and really asserting himself. The youngsters played well enough I thought, although a few posters above noted Morton was the standout of them.
