Carbon wheelsets

Woot. Awaiting customs clearance. Any idea what the charges will be?

Edit; HMRC online calc says 4.5% duty and 20% VAT, so around £80.

Customs charges will depend on the value marked on the box, not the actual price you paid.
The last set of wheels I got may or may not have been labelled as $100. ;)

Seen Vittoria have sneaked out a new tubular glue called Magic Mastik which only needs one coat and sets in 12 hours...

I'll wait till I see the pros using it at the tour, but it could be a good time saver for tubs! (Now I have 7 tubes of mastik one ).

Still with customs. Just waiting to find out what the fees are.

Probably going to be a couple of weeks before I get them as I'm travelling this week and next.

Still need to glue them up, dry fit to check valve extensions are the correct length.

Weathers wet and cold so leaving it at least a day before I start gluing.

Realised I would need a spacer for my wheels so had to order one as it wasn't included. 11 speed hub and I have 10 speed SRAM so need a 1.85mm spacer I think.

Also had to chase up more tubular glue, ordered 4 tubes but no signs after a week. I have three but wanted to make sure I had more than enough before starting!

They look nice, I like the carbon finish on the rims.

Don't like tan sidewalls myself but each to their own.

Going to start gluing mine this weekend!

Just spent the last couple of hours cleaning and re-gluing my wheels and tyres. This is the last time I'm doing it I think, not sure I can be bothered to do again. Wondering if I'll notice any difference in rolling with glue as opposed to tape.
