Card payments... I can accept them now!

On-top of looking really dodgy, it's probably a bit unprofessional also.

Unfortunately, I have to agree.

"Thank you sir, now would you mind just slipping your card into my iPhone?"

I think not! Makes you realise how much trust we actually put into all the various devices we type our PINs into every day whilst on the high street, especially within smaller businesses.

Nice referral link brah.

This seems perfect to keep stored in your bag for when someone goes to the loo. Raid their bag, pop their card in and sign it... no pin verification by the looks of it?

I give it 6-12 months before horror stories arise, and it's slandered.

its actually not a referral link.

thats a simple link to the website, i could put a referral link but i have that on facebook

This is also the perfect device for card cloners... no longer do they need to go to the ATM, they can simply clone and use this device to bypass all of the normal checks.

We moved away from signatures many years ago... this has brought it back for some reason! I imagine it's because they can't gain license to access the pin checks, because the device isn't supported fully by banks and card issuers.

It's a cool concept for SMEs, especially retail... but does look open to fraud. I suppose it all hinges on the detection measures put in place between transaction clearing into both their account, and moving those funds into your designated account.

How is it?!?!

Its a way to accept card payments, How can it be at all unprofessional?

I would say it makes you seem more legit as a trader if you can accept card payments!

Are you on the same planet as the rest of us? :p You are sticking your precious bank or credit card into a reader hooked up to an iPhone... ANYONE could do it. In addition, there is no chip and PIN... which should be 100% standard on any card transaction nowadays to reduce the risk of fraud.

No way in hell would I stick my card in one of those, and it won't be long before door-to-door scammers are preying on old people with them, or people are using them for fraud purposes, and their reputation goes through the floor.
