Career In The Army part 2 (Hopefully)

When I was in the Army the BFT was 1.5 miles out, 30 secs rest and 1.5 miles back and dependent on your age its under 10 mins in total.

Has it changed?

3 miles in under 10 minutes? Think your memory is slightly off. :p

Congratulations bakes, just one thing, I'm from Coldstream and it doesn't have a capital S in the middle. :p

Today ive just had a medical letter come through from lichfield. Saying that they want an up to date test on my kidneys eg urine sample, blood pressure and blood sample. I used to when i was about 8 have a problem with my kidneys. I know there fine (well 99% sure) but im just getting anxious with all this waiting i just wanna go.

Ah well, at least they got back to you heh, I'm STILL waiting to hear back about my medical lol. And now my paperwork is somewhere between London AFCO, and Liverpool AFCO... I think someone doesn't want me to re-join the damn army haha.

Congratulations with your change in career - hope the training carries on going all right for you!!

When I was at my fitness prime, I was doing 2.79km in 10 mins (1.73 miles or something) around 3-4 years ago. I would probably die trying that now but I didn't end up joining the Royal Navy, got cold feet about the whole thing. Also, my eyes are probably too crap now (I'm -4.00 in one eye I think).

That was to join an Engineering branch of some kind - but I don't have a degree so I wasn't able to become an officer plus my bad Maths GCSE grade (D grade) also meant I couldn't go to one of the higher engineering branches.

Joining the military is a very big decision but it sounds like you are really wanting to go for it - all the best for you, bakes0310!
