Our first team is knackered. Given injuries and the lack of form of Arshavin/Chamakh, we've had to play mostly the same starting team in every game. So it's not even a matter of not trying to win the Carling Cup, we simly can't afford to play our strongest team in it.

Also, Gervinho's a perfectly good player, he just can't finish. That's never stopped people raving about Anderson.
