It's very 2006. There are far far better alternatives on the market now. It was good, then. This is now. It's always been a little bit "my first house"

Yes because obviously on your 2nd or 3rd house your predilection for carpet underlay reaches expert level. What a load of tripe, 99% of people wouldn't even give it a second thought what's under their carpet, it's just another thing for people with too much time on their hands to be snobby about. :cry:

Once again, thankyou for the reply but it's still not exactly helpful! Could you possibly give some examples of better products I should be looking at and reasons why they are better? This is very much not my first house so if there is a better option out there I would be keen to investigate.

I got Tapi ‘Gold’ underlay and its superb - went with the best they did and I’m glad
