carpet toothpaste stain removal?

I'm putting my money on troll.

Toothpaste, what? When has toothpaster ever been used to glue anything to anything?

You are studying Engineering at Uni and you use toothpaste as glue.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, please preserve me from Engineers like this

As a matter of interest, do you brush your teeth with superglue

Were you stoned off your head when you thought of using toothpaste to glue two bits of carpet together?

You're studying engineering...I realise that a good engineer can improvise as needed, but surely you'd use the right materials for preference? It's not like the warp core would explode if you didn't get that patch on immediately.

You have the replacement carpet already and you think a patch job is good enough. So cut the stained section (which can't be much bigger than the original hole) out, cut a larger patch from the replacement carpet and glue it in with a suitable adhesive. I suggest face cleaner, but make sure you use a hypoallergenic one. Or maybe glue. Carpet glue if you want a permanent bond to the floor.
