No a closed beta is not accessible to the public at all - an open Beta is Beta code available to the public. Where it is a pre purchase or not doesn't change the definition.

I paid for the Beta, more due to the fact I think Bohemia are freaking awesome I like to support them. The game has some interesting ideas, I really like that you can send out multiple vehicles as AI and then take control of any of them yourself at any time. Atm in the beta only the strategy game is available though no campaign yet.

Reminds me of Hostile Waters and Battlezone, both awesome games.

Another one for the list. 2012 is turning out to be a great year for PC games!

Huw - did you do this option, or if not anyone else and if so any impressions. I see they opened up their beta pages so you can see what people are saying in there.

Amazon have it for £19.99 which seems a good deal, very tempted just not sure with SP only how much longevity it will give but it does seem a fascinating game

Anyone think this looks more like Hostile Waters than Carrier Command? I guess HW was an updated version of CC anyway, so this is taking it into the new age of better graphics.
