I was showing my first post in the gallery thanks all the same, gees you cant fart in here with this guy about?

"Somebody mention matrix....." /" Welcome to the real world"
I was reflecting Id prefer to enjoy the screens in reality, doh

I haven't been here long, but to be honest, you come across as someone who's more than normally boastful, perhaps rightfully so, but nevertheless flaunting your computer at any opportunity can get mildly tiresome to people.
Well you've taken what matskiosaurus as a personal jibe now, which just proves his point. Yes your computer looks good, don't take what everyone says as a derogatory remark towards you or your setup. Reality check, life doesn't revolve around you!

On a seperate note, someone should start a matrix lookalike thread... for those who have the most botched together setup, but make it look inexplicably cool. :)

Well welcome, Acliff to the forums.

For the record, that was my first pics of my system in the gallery and my recent "update" thread is because its now finally about to be finished and I finally got the multimonitor setup complete.
I would disagree Im being more boastfull than anyone else with theirs. Ive made no more posts regarding mine than others in the past have and we all enjoy posting our rigs, thats all its about nothing more or less so hardly means Im self centred or see myself above others here, just wanted to clarify this.

As for Mat well we seem to just get on great and have a lovelly history of beautifull written posts , complementing each other, Ive never personally attacked him in a thread unless responding to his BS which Im entitled to do of course.
BTW, Mat took it thinking I seen his post as a presonal jibe to mine even though I didnt. Yet not only did he misinterrupt the situation but as usuall he replied in the way he usually does, 'insulting hot headedl'

Mats temper has gone on the boil too often and could write his arguments more tactfully and less insulting. Doing that certainly isnt clever and gets other persons angry for more pointless arguing but he seems to revel in it.

This isn't meant to be an argumentative post, this is to clarify the meaning of my post, please understand.

I didn't take anything personaly, it seemed to me at the time that you took it to heart when i said it wasn't neat and shiny "Whats wrong with neat and shiny".
The point i was making is that when i said it looked industrial in the film and not neat and shiny was an observation, i wasn't saying i dislike n and s thats the whole point.
I think you misunderstood what i was talking about, i know the matrix reference "welcome to the REAL world" and didn't take any offence to that.

Apologies for any misunderstandings.
Thanks.

Quick question has any of you guys noticed a drop in performance with rounded IDE cables.

Ive read in some posts of people complaining they couldnt achieve the same bench scores as with standard flat cables, even some had temporary issues of the drives not being identified.

Nice work, mrk, looking good.

Guess i really do need those akasa ultra rounded metal braided things.

/esc

EDIT: Three ethernet cards? Am I going mad?

Thanks :)

And yep, I would have 4 nics but the 4th pc is non-existant now

House is networked and routed from my pc as it's never turned off

As for the rounded cables, I will do a HDTach test with rounded and normal (both ATA133) cables shortly, expect reply in about 30 mins :P

well thanks mrk.

Like I mentioned I had seen people debate it previously and your test proves its nothing really, most of us have rounded or both if need be to swap.

My friend had an annoying temporary loss of HD detection altogether with 3 sets of leads. Maybe just his system or psu who knows but the problem wasnt their with flat cables, weird one I know, just when I seen them wanted to see if anyone else experienced anything simular.

Cheers

Agree with jonsey2k in a way the rounded stick out too much when connected and get in the way of my top fan in my 210B, ah yeee canny win eh.

some rounded cables are covered in a softer sleeve so can be far more bendable than others but the ones i got seem to be perfcetly fine, just tuck them into the 5.25" bay area and all is tidy :0

strange thing though, i have noticed a lot of memory errors in teh form of "red box with memory error at 0x******* location click ok to continue"

I will run the drive using flat cable for 24 hours and use windows like an old man and pornography to see if the round cable is to blame!

man that's a nice case,

I'm beginning to get a fond liking for big windows, i might just cut out the window in mine and make it bigger then fit a tinted window in there, looks much nicer imo

My YY server cube. Just got it today :)

*edit* I'll put replies to posts in this post to stop clutter. It's actually a dual MP2400 on an Iwill MPX2 with 1Gb RAM. Next thing I need to do is put in a decent RAID array, another Gb of Ram, gigabit network and then it's a proper server :)
