Case recommendation please

It's actually how it is shown on the Lian Li website. I found it stole air from the Blue Orb so I reversed it. Now I have it facing inwards so it pulls air across the heat pipes on my DS4.

As for how much air it moves, I would say it's moving a little less than an Akasa Amber - say 25-40 cfm? But the wingspan on that NT-06 cooler is humungous. It's actually designed to sit under the PSU in a Silverstone Sugo. Have you seen the photographs on the Silverstone website?

Ah, ok, so the way you have it in the pic at the top of this thread is not how it's supposed to be? I just figured with the vent there, the PSU fan should be facing that way. Or am I misreading you on that?

The NT06 seems a pretty decent cooler. Not sure why OCUK don't stock it.

No, you are correct. In the picture at the top of *** thread, I have it mounted the wrong way around.

They can't stock everything... ;)

I believe the Antec Nine Hundred ticks all of your boxes; I have built one just today and I was very impressed with the usual Antec attention to detail, and the unusual styling - oh and let's not forget the 200mm tri-speed fan, it's not just a gimmick, it really helped cool the C2D E6600 that was inside it.

Holds six hard drives, 3 x 120mm tri-speed fans, side window, PSU at bottom of case etc. black with subtle blue LEDs on fans and HDD activity LED.

It may not be to everyone's taste and admittedly it's a bit plasticky, but when it's all built up and running it's the business (well I think so, anyway :) )

Check it out.

Sorry dude, but the OP blew his budget by £60 about 20 posts back and bought a Lian Li V1000B+ II.

ok, so everything (well, i only ordered 2 items) arrived today and i am very happy with my choice to spend the extra and get this case. as was said the pc-v100b plus and pc-v1000b plusII are both stocked in the same box, so i get the plusII version :)

first thing i noticed is that i can easily pick up the case one handed (i havent actually put anything in there yet though), whereas the thermaltake damier that i currently have is a two handed job!. i suppose it is to do with the fact it is alu, and full of holes :D

so i have spent probably the best part of 30minutes trying to fit the additional cd bezel into the front panel. finally i figured it out, i had to remove every plate in there, fit it in from the bottom (where the fdd plate is), and slide it up into position.

i am working a split shift tomorrow, getting a 4 hour break in the middle, so i will most likely be building it then. not sure if that will be enough time though as i will have to dismantle my current machine to re-build in the lian li. i also dont want to rush myself in doing it and mess it up, so i am seeing this being carried over to sunday :(

so far then here are my views. as someone on here said the lian li cases look much better in person that any picture you see, i definitely agree to this!

good points.

lightweight
looks awesome
adjustable plate to direct airflow

bad points

there really arent any that i can think of right now, so i am having to come up with something...
it shows fingerprints too easily, and the case now looks completely man-handled.
