As title here for XP/VISTA etc... :)

New Features

Catalyst™ 7.2 introduces a brand new version of the Catalyst™ Control Center for Windows XP. The new Catalyst™ Control Center delivers a number of significant enhancements:

* Significant performance gains; Catalyst™ Control Center start-up time has been substantially reduced, and overall responsiveness has improved.
* Reduced system resource usage
* New 3D preview which significantly improves the ability for users to understand the benefits of enabling the many Catalyst™ features of their ATI Radeon™ graphics accelerator
* Increased stability
* Native 32 and 64-bit support

No EATM still, just done the new Vista CCC, made it quicker loading, and changed the 3D preview for your settings, whoopee doo. :D

Is it just a enhanced CCC or totally changed with new layout and stuff? If its difference can we get a screenie?

Cheers for the news about this release btw.

Jut been looking for the Vista thread about the Cat 7.1's, as it had a pic in there of the new 3D Preview, but i can't find it, but i think it was just a water fountain now instead of the car.

Seem to be working fine on my dads machine.

Also, seems like it may be VERY worth it for people playing OpenGL games in Vista... apparently theres a 48% speed increase in Quake4 played on an x1000 series card in Vista compared to before.

I'm getting a File not found error when I try to download off the ATi site.

EDIT: The Multilanguage download works but not the English.

Duno if its just the vista for the opengl boost as i think on win xp you get 25% boost too. If i read it right in the notes.

Very few games use opengl tho these days as its kinda old aint it?

Enabling CrossFire™ no longer results in display corruption being noticed when playing certain 3D games such as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006 and Madden Football. Further information may be found in topic number 737-23006

Catalyst Control Center->Help: Clicking on the Monitor and Digital Panel Properties found in the Contents section of the Help no longer results in a message indicating that the page cannot be displayed. Further details can be found in topic number 737-24351

thats what it says for the 64bit version. looks like there is nothing in it for me to upgrade from 6.11

Oh my. I hope this fixes the problem with the 1950xt switching to 3d mode in Vista. Cant believe it took them this long to bring it out :mad: .

Edit:

"Caution: The ATI Radeon™ X1950 XT is currently not supported under the Windows Vista operating system"
