Has it had a new engine as well?

I wonder if it is in Kent/Essex. My neighbour just had his Corsa taken away that had a broken cam belt by a guy it that area. He buys accident and blown engine cars an sticks new engines in to flog them on.

Actually it IS 'as described' - there is very little description so provided it is indeed a 1.0i 12v with 6 months MOT and some tax, it's as described.

The Cat C thing is different to whether the car is 'as described'.

Technically as a trader has a legal obligation to disclose information such as CAT-C/D could it not be argued that he lied by omission?

That car's just down the road from my parents house, I think I know the place selling it. Definitely give it a miss, it's the worst advert I've seen in a while.

The write off status should be on the log book. If it is then I'm not sure what you can actually do about getting your money back.

The upside down front photo appears to show the old misaligned bonnet, but maybe my eyes have wishful thinking!

Got the money back no problem. I am still on the lookout for a car for him as he rushes in too quick.

He wants a decent Corsa for a grand. Possible?

You say it's his first car; is he <21 or even 25?
A Corsa is probably the most expensive cheap small car you could possibly buy for a young driver, has he checked insurance at all?
My brother also rushed in quick in buying his first car, forgetting this and shot himself in the foot (not literally!) and paid up a painful amount in insurance because he had his heart set on the car he had paid his hard earnt on.

get a 1.25 Fiesta, its a better car.

He can have me one for £350 if you can be bothered to pick it up from the IOM. They are good cars and I have had my one as a backup care for the best part of 13 years

Its obvious thats been in a front end smash. Its has a facelift front bumper on pre facelift year. Looking at the rest of it too its in very poor condition and over priced. The front end crash might been that bad it required a relplacement engine?!

Yes I have bought a few Corsa C for around a grand all of them have been pretty tidy as far as corsa's go.

Must be able to get a reasonable focus for that money too.

I had that 3pot Corsa as my first car. Struggled to get up hills with more than just me in. The ladies loved it though.
