Catalyst 11.2

Yes. I also run CCleaner and Eusing Registry Cleaner to blitz it, then once I've installed the new ones I run them again and do a defrag. Might as well do the spring cleaning while I'm doing maintenance. :p

No.
Maybe.
Many people point out that drivers are designed to work okay when installed over the top of old ones - the installation procedure takes care of removing the old one.

Some people occasionally have problems and have to resort to a clean uninstall with driversweeper, etc.

However, many people have stories of driver sweeper programs causing more problems, so I think it's best to do the standard install-over-the-top, and then, only if there is a problem do the driver sweep and reinstall.

driver sweeper sorted all my issues out with these drivers
as getting much lower fps in heaven and vantage with 11.2 i ran d/s and shabam !! 11.2 turned out to be the best drivers so far

i tell you again....SHABAM !!!!

I was using 10.10s but uninstalled them ran driversweeper in safe mode then installed 11.2 so far no issues. Found new catalyst control centre so easy to navigate

So over all thoughts on 11.2?
Just as good as the other drivers imho, with the added official Morphological filtering - AMD Optimized Tessellation also 2x 4x 6x 8x 16x 32x 64x Tessellation settings and option to Disable AMD CrossfireX power settings. And it shows in the software the correct catalyst version.

Anyone used these with a 5970? I'm still using 10.10e's as so far I've yet to find a newer set of drivers that play nice.

Installed last night but done no testing.
Took an hour today for the random 99% load/UAC hang issue to appear. Nice one ATI/AMD.
It's been there since 10.11 for me, so it looks like it ain't gonna be fixed anytime soon, if ever. Do the 6000 series have this issue with the last few drivers ? If so, I find it astonishing that this problem is going unchecked.

* Morphological Anti-Aliasing support for the ATI Radeon HD 5000 Series :)

Tried it with my 5850 before and its pretty bad. Way too blurred so a step back imo. Better off using just 2xAA with the resolutions most people use now.
