Catalyst 8.8 released

i just cant understand why it used to work on the 8.7hotfixes, but once ive installed these 8.8's its totally screwed, driver cleaner and then installing the 8.7hotfixes again, it still does it...im giving it another day of tinkering, then its going back and im going Nvidia.
 
I've booted into windows a few times and i got a message saying that "ati ccc has stopped responding". Anyone else get this problem?. I've never had it before and i'm using vista 64 ultimate with a 4870.

I had some issues with CCC not applying aa and other settings correctly up until this driver version. However that is becuase I had some issues getting the complete ccc & display driver package to install so i resorted to booting into safemode and running both driver sweeper and driver cleaner to get rid of my previous drivers. Then i downloaded the display driver only installer and installed that with the new ATT beta, rebooted and now aa, af etc. all get applied properly.
