Catalyst 9.1

Yes they often lose sync with the amp if you put your computer into standby, which causes windows to restart when you try to resume. Also if you change inputs on the amp while your HTPC is on, then switch back it gives you a blank screen. There are big incompatibilities with certain amps too such that it won't work at all without a huge amount of fiddling. Many can only get 2 channel sound instead of 6-8 channel.

And a few others I've probably forgotten about.

Makes me think of The Beatles - Number 9 or whatever it was called on the White Album.

No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9, No.9.....................:D

Not quite as good as 'While my guitar gently weeps'

I purchased my first ATI card in 2003, and I only realised how the naming convention for the drivers worked in October 2008, lol!

Hi, it is so nice to come to a thread to find people can actually count higher than 3. Makes it all a worthwhile and 'informative' experience to have arguments over numbers :p

Understanding what you have written makes me wonder would I be better off with a NVidia graphics option when building a HTPC..?

I was thinking about a...
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H AMD 780G Micro-ATX

...board which uses the ATI 3200 onboard GPU. I assumed that this would have been a good option for 1080p via the HDMI socket, carrying both video and audio..?
