Catalyst 9.11's OUT

its safe to install over, amd even supports no reboot to all curtesy of vista or later operating systems from microsoft

Have to restart here, once ive ran the ATi Install Manager to remove previous from the Programs and Features, it says needs to reboot for changes.

Unless it just doesn't need to reboot because your not bothering to remove the previous set.

Yep if you install over the top you don't have to reboot and is the recommended way to install as far as I know.

I notice that there has been a Legacy 9.11 catalyst driver release on amd.com for those that have older dx9 radeon cards. Will be updating my 1950pro crossfire box and win7 with these drivers at some point.

24hz is my settings in crysis and crysis warhead with these drivers, when uninstall and go back to 9.10 it is fixed again

i get loads of flickers, not in actual game, but in-game menu, and this is on a different 5850, no other problems just flicker. im sure drivers or something, will try and reinstall them see what happens.

performance is much better though, in gta iv much smooooother :)

. ............. installed fine for me, performace a little better in some areas - nice not to have the flickering CCC when using overdrive.

For the past year or so I've just been downloading the Display Driver Only release because I don't want the CCC bloat. Does CCC have any redeeming features or performance-enhancing tools that I've been missing out on?

having some problems with it, some text it coming out blue isntead of black and it sometimes comes up as the text not displaying right, when i highlight the text it goes fine  hard to explain, might try and reinstall and hope for the best.

The CCC lets you do all your graphical settings like AA/AF etc..., so if your only using the dispaly driver, then you can't do any of that.

better to have CCC installed anyway, for me anyway i need it to switch over from monitor to hd tv for gaming. it just seems rather buggy, could be hdmi lead or something though

Really? I could have sworn it was. Noticeable slow down when you apply x4 over x2 in one game I play. They have fixed some things though! OpenGL triple buffering now doesn't cause a crash in Combat Mission Shock Force.

same, i noticed performance hits when tweaking these settings.
