Terrible news I really feel for all of you down under. Hopes its not as bad as it would first seem and just a lot of hot air.....

4 pages in and we havent had one tin foil hat nutter saying "its the sign of things to come 2012, nibru are on there way... lizard men.....moon nazi's". Sorry what have I started.

On a less stupid note I really hope it doesnt do the damage the new are suggestion. Good luck.

Just spoke to my cousin, She is staying with her parents in Mackay as her house was flooded in Emerald. She said the winds are strong, but not too bad. She is just relieved that she moved out of Townsville not too long ago, and didn't take the job in Cairns that she was offered.

Bad times ahead.

Well, I've stopped up to 12:30am local time to see the cyclone hit properly but the weather channel guys are now saying it could be another hour or more. With work in the morning, that's it from me tonight guys, cheers for all the links, images and videos, will check back first thing to see how it's gone.
 
Really feel for everyone down under, it's been a horrific start to the year, just hope everyone is fine and it passes with only buildings that have been lost
 
****** me, this is hardcore. Australia will be licking her wounds for months to come. I've got plenty of mates in QLD, many of whom were just getting back on their feet after the floods.
 
I do feel for them down under and I hope all the people are\will be ok.
But I did get frightened and excited at the same time in the hurricane season.

It seems that the building next to the Evac centre has lost it's roof. Slight difference there.

Just like twitter and the shootings in regent street.
